A channel model for line-of-sight (LoS) microcell in dense urban areas is proposed. It is a kind of geometry-based stochastic channel model (GSCM) for which the scattering-power-distribution (SPD) in the channel seen from the receiver mobile terminal (MT) based on the physical phenomenon is obtained. Furthermore, information from a specific environment can be inserted into the model to acquire the precise small-area-average or at-a-single- location values of the spatio-temporal attributes of the channel. The azimuth-power-spectrum (APS) predicted by the proposed model are observed to have a close match to the experimental results obtained from measurements in several measurement points.
