Here we demonstrate a novel Chinese MRI brain template constructed by our brain template construction software. The difference between the averaged Chinese brain and the widely used MNI template were shown quantitatively. These apparent variations point out the imprecision that might cause using SPM based western brain template on Chinese cognitive science research. This novel Chinese brain template serves to be a better reference when Chinese brain functional studies of high accuracy are conducted.
