In order to support the QoS of the network, a scalable framework based on the deterministic QoS guarantees was proposed. On the basis of the edge-core network model, we introduced the notion of flow and micro-flow, a two-layer scheduling model based on the arrival curves and service curves, and derived the upper bound on the queue length, the queue delay, the end-to-end delay/jitter, and effective bandwidth using network calculus. In this paper, some examples of a guarantee service based on the proposed framework were analyzed. Results show that the framework is highly scalable, and can be used in the designing of the communication network with QoS guarantees.
