In this paper, we proposed an optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system with the position code to re-utilize the time slots wasted. We find that the performance of the new system will be better than that of original system. For example, it can accommodate at least 50 more users in the worst performance when BER is 10-9, and suppress the narrowband interference (NBI) caused by wavelength division multiple access (WDMA) signals in the hybrid OCDMA/WDMA system
