In this paper, we propose a monopole array-assisted Doppler spread compensator with dummy elements for digital terrestrial television broadcasting receiver. Although authors are already proposed an array antenna assisted Doppler spread compensator, it is sensitive to mutual coupling among elements in terms of compensation performance. In order to solve this problem, dummy elements, placed at either end of an array antenna, mitigate performance degradation arising from the mutual coupling among monopole array elements. Computer simulation results show that the dummy elements can reduce performance degradation due to mutual coupling as well as expand the operating bandwidth of a Doppler spread compensator
