Interest in production of electricity from renewable energy sources and by fuel cells is rapidly increasing. This paper presents the development of a multi-disciplinary course on alternative energy wind/photovoltaic/fuel cell power generation. The motivation for the course is outlined and a detailed description of the topics covered in the course is given. Sample student projects, and students' response to the course are presented. The course is a part of the graduate program in power engineering and an elective for the undergraduate electrical engineering students at Montana State University
