In this paper the versatility of IP-based IMT network platform "IP-IMT-NP" for mobile-IPv6-MPLS networks is being discussed. Experimental systems using IP2 (IP2) mobility management was designed and implemented to offer more efficient protocol handshake and addressing bottlenecks. We believe that IP-based IMT Network platform is capable of reducing overhead, limit unnecessary signalling and enable micro-mobility to work hand in hand with lower layer protocols such as MPLS to offer quality of service (QoS). In our study, the general architecture IP-IMT-NP is discussed and modification is applied in order to fit the changes to adapt to IPv6 and MPLS versatility
