A new experiment demonstrating the stabilisation of an optically driven self-oscillator is reported. The oscillation of the micromechanical silicon resonator is maintained by optical feedback provided by a Fabry-Perot interferometer formed between a semireflecting mirror and the surface of the silicon micromechanical resonator. The stabilisation of the oscillation is achieved by adjusting the frequency of the laser diode powering the system.<<ETX>>
