An omnidirectional antenna with controllable nulls is desirable in some communication systems. It can suppress noise caused by stationary or mobile jammers and still maintain an otherwise omnidirectional coverage. A synthesis procedure for omnidirectional radiation patterns with multiple nulls for circular arrays of omnidirectional elements is presented. The depths of the nulls can be controlled...
A new window is described, with coefficients generated using the gamma function. The window is shown to have similar general performance to the Kaiser window, although it requires more computational effort. Required window length can be evaluated using simple linear relations. When used for interpolation, the new window outperforms Kaiser and Chebyshev windows.
