Various compositions in the valence compensated solid solution system Sr 1 - x Y x Ti 1 - x Co x O 3 (0.01=<x=<0.10) have been synthesized by solid state ceramic method. Crystal structure, density and porosity of these compositions have been determined. DC resistivity and Seebeck coefficient of all the samples have been measured as a function of temperature in the range 300-1000 K. Positive values of Seebeck coefficient in the entire temperature range of measurement shows that holes are the majority charge carriers. Conductivity increases with increasing x indicating that conduction occurs mainly because of cobalt ions. Post-sintering treatments viz (I) quenching the samples after sintering and (II) annealing in air at 1000 o C after sintering do not affect the electrical properties of these materials significantly.
