We investigate the coherent transient photoconductive generation of THz electromagnetic radiation by a quantum well following excitation with an ultrafast optical pulse in the presence of a strong in-plane DC electric field. The spectrum of this radiation displays a multipeaked structure due to the quantum interference between the bound-state exciton and the dynamically evolving continuum.
