We study the magnetic field effect on nanographite ribbons based on the tight binding model with Peierls phase. It is found that the edge shape of graphite ribbons gives significant difference in the π electronic structure under magnetic field. We exhibit the ribbon width dependence of the total magnetization and the edge effect on the local distribution of the magnetization based on the armchair and zigzag edge-shaped ribbons.
