Controlling the excimer formation of pyrene-1-butylic acid (PBA) chemisorption layer onto nano-porous anodic oxidized aluminium plate by myristic acid layer was attempted and the optical oxygen-sensitivity using PBA and myristic acid co-chemisorption layer was controlled by varying the molar ratio of myristic acid to PBA. When the [myristic acid]/[PBA] value increased, the fluorescence intensities at 376 and 396nm attributed to monomer emission increased and the intensity at 474nm attributed to excimer emission decreased, indicating that the excimer formation between PBA molecules onto nano-porous anodic oxidized aluminium plate was suppressed by the myristic acid layer. The oxygen-sensitivity is changed by controlling the excimer formation of PBA by co-chemisorption of myristic acid.
