Magnetization measurements in the magnetic field 0.1 T on an intercalation compound Mn 1 / 4 TiS 2 have shown that zero-field-cooled magnetization has a small peak at glass temperature T g =6K for the magnetic field parallel to the c-axis of the sample, and a remarkable peak at T g =13K for the ab-plane, while the field-cooled magnetization does not exhibit such a peak, but becomes nearly constant below T g . These results are considered to be a spin-glass-like behavior, in agreement with the results in the previous work in which the specific heats up to 14K show no peak but have a large magnetic entropy change.
