Nous rapportons le cas d’un nourrisson de 16 mois, opéré d’une omphalocèle géante au premier jour de vie avec une évolution simple, qui est décédé en quelques heures dans un contexte de syndrome abdominal aigu. L’autopsie révélait une torsion du lobe hépatique gauche contenant une veine sus-hépatique. À notre connaissance, il s’agit du premier cas d’omphalocèle géante compliquée d’une torsion d’un lobe hépatique d’évolution fatale.
We report the case of an infant who underwent surgery on the first day of life for a giant omphalocele. At the age of 16 months, he presented an acute abdominal syndrome and died a few hours later. Autopsy revealed a twisted left liver lobe (LL) including a suprahepatic vein. To our knowledge, this is the first case of giant omphalocele complicated by twisted liver lobe and fatal outcome.
