Objectif. - Apprecier les aspects epidemiologiques et les manifestations cliniques de la sphere ORL de la lepre.Patients et methodes. - Etude retrospective (juillet 1987 a juin 2001) dans le service d'ORL du CHU de Brazzaville (Congo).Resultats. - Cent-sept patients ont ete repertories : etaient ages de 35 a 64 ans (74 % d'hommes et 26 % de femmes). Ils avaient un niveau socio-economique faible dans 97 % de cas, un contact anterieur avec un lepreux dans 51,4 % et une serologie VIH positive dans 9,3 % des cas. Les formes multibacillaires (60 %) etaient les plus frequentes : 81,3 % de patients presentaient une lepre sequellaire ou guerie et 18,7 % evolutive. Les manifestations nasales etaient les plus frequentes (46,7 %), puis les lesions buccales et oropharyngees (34,5 %), otologiques (25,2 %), nerveuse (6,5 %), ganglionnaires (4,6 %) et laryngees (1,8 %).

Were from 35 to 64 years of age with 74% male and 26% female patients. They had a low socioeconomic level in 97% of the cases, a previous contact with a leper in 51.4%, and a positive for HIV in 9.3% of the cases. Multibacillary presentations were the most frequent (60%). 81.3% of the patient presented withsequels of or cured leprosy, and 18.7% with an evolutive form. Nasal symptoms were the most common (46.7%), followed by buccal and oropharyngeal lesions (34.5%), otological (25.2%), nervous (6.5%), ganglionic (4.6%), and laryngeal (1.8%).
