Selecting process of scheme design of sacrificial shear key has been very important issue for engineer for years, because the improper selection of sacrificial shear key might cause of many problems affecting negatively on effectiveness of reliability during severe ground motions and economic rationality, construction feasibility and technical feasibility post-earthquake rehabilitation. In the paper, the fuzzy integrated evaluation is used for sacrificial shear key scheme selection problem due to the fact that it has been widely used in evaluating various kinds of multiple-criteria decision making problems in both academic researches and practices. The fuzzy statistical method was employed to statistics experts’ remarks to generate the fuzzy set membership. The average weight method was proposed to determine the weights. The procedures of the proposed method were that determining the initial weights by experts mark ratings and then calculating the average of initial weights. In addition, Euclidean distance was employed to represent the deviation of scheme design from the perfect one and ultimately determine the optimum scheme. A case study was also presented to make this approach more understandable for a decision-maker(s). The sacrificial shear key scheme selection proposed by this paper can effectively solve the sacrificial shear key scheme selection problem. It is can be used in the bridge seismic design.
