Piezoelectric inhomogeneity problems in anti-plane shear and in-plane electric fields - how to obtain the coupled fields from the uncoupled dielectric solution
Composites with cylindrical microgeometry and transversely isotropic constituents admit an anti-plane shear mode of deformation coupled to in-plane electric fields. It is shown that the solution of these problems in two-phase media can be constructed in a simple manner from the solution of the corresponding Uncoupled in-plane dielectric or analogous anti-plane shear problems. This result simplifies considerably the analysis of piezoelectric inhomogeneity problems in the described mode of deformation and electric fields.
