Densities ρ and speeds of sounduof the mixtures of globular species,c-C 6 H 12 ,c-C 6 H 11 CH 3 , C 6 H 5 CH 3 , and C 6 H 5 Cl withc-C 6 H 10 O were measured atT=298.15K. As a polar and globular molecule,c-C 6 H 10 O when mixed with non-polar globular molecules, has excess volumesV m E and isentropic compressibilities κ S E which are not as large as expected for the excess enthalpiesH M E of polar mixtures. Globularities of the component molecules are so effective that the positive effect due to the breaking of dipolar interaction ofc-C 6 H 10 O is reduced and the negative effect due to the formation of dipole-induced dipole interaction with aromatic components is also reduced. The values of κ S E for all systems have been found to be negative and small.
