The problem of dynamic lot-sizing is a continuing subject of intensive research. So far, compared to standard material requirements planning (MRP) systems, the newly developed solutions are not used in professional software. This paper discusses the reasoning behind such state-of-the-art and presents a procedure for dynamic lot-sizing, which is elaborated in conclusions and discussion.
