We propose a molecular thermodynamic framework to describe vapor-liquid equilibria (VLE) of dendrimer solutions. We examined VLE of dendrimer solutions (polyamidoamine dendrimer/methanol and benzyl dodecyl dendrimer/toluene systems) on the effects of a branched structure and specific interaction formations among endgroups of dendrimer and solvent molecules. The solvent-endgroup specific interaction dominates VLE of given systems. The endgroups of dendrimer also play a great role in determining VLE of highly branched polymer structure. Excellent fits were obtained for VLE data of dendrimer/solvent systems.
