The review of literature allows the following conclusions: whatever the techniques of rehabilitation, the global pronostic recovery of walking is around 80%, but no study can predict what it would be without rehabilitation. No study prooves that a particular technique should allow the 20% of non-walking strokes to recover after the 6th month. Some instrumental techniques have proved their efficacy in the qualitative increase of walking: biofeedback for knee control and orthesis of reequilibration. The superiority of qualitative and quantitative results of an early intensive rehabilitation in specific departments can be retained. The higher benefit is for strokes of intermediary gravity, and, among them, for the most deficient.
