Composite (x)CoFe 2 O 4 –(1−x)BaTiO 3 thick films were prepared on alumina substrate by electrophoretic deposition technique using CoFe 2 O 4 and BaTiO 3 nanopowders. X-ray diffraction indicated that the films consisted of both spinel CoFe 2 O 4 and perovskite BaTiO 3 phase. Microstructures of the deposited films were examined using SEM technique. Electrical and dielectric properties of the thick films were investigated. At CoFe 2 O 4 concentration of 55%, the composite thick film showed an abrupt rise in dc conductivity, which was attributed to percolation effect.
