Impulse plasma is used in surface engineering in the synthesis and deposition of various materials in the form of layers. In previous studies physical and computational models have been proposed to describe phenomena in an impulse plasma deposition plasma accelerator. In the present studies the real shape of the current sheet, as well as its dynamics, in the interelectrode region was examined experimentally with the help of high-speed cameras.
