Le vieillissement de la population française est constant depuis 40 ans. Même si la qualité de vie des personnes âgées ne cesse de s’améliorer, le vieillissement de la population entraîne une dépense de soins plus importante. Les démences, les dépendances, sont de plus en plus fréquentes, et entraînent elles-mêmes d’autres pathologies en particulier par l’intermédiaire de la dénutrition. Ces phénomènes doivent être anticiper par une prise en charge globale et coordonnée des structures sanitaires et médico-psycho-sociales.
French population ageing is constant since 1960. Even if elderly people quality of life keeps on improvement, population ageing leads to increasing consumption of care. Dementia, dependencies, are more frequent, and lead to many diseases, especially through malnutrition. This phenomenon have to be anticipate with global and coordinated agreement of sanitary, medical and psycho-social organization.
