Two series of vanadocene complexes of the type Cp2′VX2 (Cp′=η 5 -C 5 H 5 , η 5 -C 5 H 4 Me; X=dicyanamide, tricyanomethanide, dicyanonitrosomethanide) were prepared by the reaction of appropriate vanadocene dichloride complex with alkali salt of non-linear pseudohalide. The bonding mode of pseudohalide ligands was determined by spectroscopic measurements and X-ray diffraction analyses.
