Flow perturbations produced by small rigid motion of a circular cylinder in a rigid concentric circular duct containing uniform axial flow are simulated using an incompressible inviscid model of the fluid behavior. An exact solution is obtained and used to compute the force and moment on the center body. The behavior of these quantities is discussed in the context of flow induced vibrations.
