The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) moves approximately 60 000 000 tonnes of material each year to support production of both iron concentrates and pellets for sale in North America and overseas. The introduction of new explosive materials, new initiating systems and the implementation of advanced computer technology, has contributed to the increase in productivity.
