The variation of structure for the nominal composition of YBa 1.8 La 0.2 Cu 3 O y (YBLCO) at the temperature range of 78K<T<288K was studied. YBLCO shows a superconducting transition temperature of T c ~ 87 K (zero resistance temperature). There is no phase transition detected in the accuracy of our experiments in the entire temperature range. The temperature dependency of lattice parameters and thermal expansion behavior for the sample was determined by the XRD method in the temperature range of 78-288 K. These data exhibit anomalies with T<150 K. The anomaly may be related to the superconducting transition or the pseudogap opening.
