The paper describes a population balance-based study of zeolite NaA crystallization from solution for well-mixed batch operations both on ground and in low earth orbit. The model is based on heterogeneous and secondary nucleation and a size-dependent power law crystal growth mechanism. The predicted final particle size distribution is compared with the available experimental data.
