Contemporary „Zeitgeist” is predominantly characterized by superlatives. The aspects of „ever more and ever faster” (economic growth, consumption, „Input”, Information etc.) are caused by a defiency of Yin (compassion, tolerance, patience, spare time). The organ systems or rather functional circuits liver/gall bladder (Le/Gb) and spleen-pancreas/stomach (Mi/Ma) in particular appear to run the risk of sliding into their extremes. Classical Chinese Medicine, primarily polar dynamism as depicted In the I Ging, strives for balance (between Yin and Yang) and therefore and by ways of the respective therapeutic methods may offer a cure to a number of conditions arising from „Zeitgeist”.
