I present scientific impressions of the workshop 'Astronomy with Radioactivities'. After a review of the origins of this series of conferences, highlights of this workshop are selected. The theme, 'new nuclei', is suggested as an organizing principle for this series of workshops. Six observational domains that drive these themes are recapitulated.
