Der Beitrag untersucht, ob in Deutschland der Zugang zu ambulanter ärztlicher Versorgung vom Versicherungsstatus eines Patienten abhängt und insoweit das Bedarfsprinzip verletzt wird. Studien zeigen z.B. unterschiedlich lange Wartezeiten auf Arzttermine und weitere Versorgungsunterschiede zwischen GKV- und PKV-Versicherten. Die durch die Gesundheitsreform implementierten Neuregelungen der Kosterstattung werfen die Frage auf, ob sich dadurch ein „Privatversicherungsstatus in der GKV“ etablieren wird und welche Folgen das für das Bedarfsprinzip in der GKV haben könnte.
