New ternary compound Ce 3 SnC has a simple face-centered cubic CaO 3 Ti-type structure. We found that Ce 3 SnC undergoes a transition to an antiferromagnetic state at T N =7.0K and the magnetization process shows multi-step metamagnetic transitions at T=1.5K. In this work, we present the effect of pressure on the electrical resistivity of Ce 3 SnC. The anomaly which originates from antiferromagnetic ordering is observed around T N at 1 bar. The results reveal that T N increases drastically with increasing pressure up to P=23kbar.
