The conversion efficiencies of optical second-harmonic generation (SHG) of light by Bessel beams and Gaussian beams in nonlinear crystals are compared. A Bessel beam, which has a quasi-nondiffractive nature, is generated by illuminating an axicon lens with a Gaussian beam. The results of an investigation of four-photon parametric superfluorescence under single-pass multibeam noncollinear pumping of the 3D sodium level are presented. A significant improvement of the spatial coherence of four-photon parametric superfluorescence was experimentally observed. The angular structure of the parametric superfluorescence excited by a Bessel beam pump is discussed.
