We report the method used to calibrate the energy response of the E706 Liquid Argon Electromagnetic Calorimeter to photons and electrons. The data used in the study included photons originating from π 0 and η decays and electrons coming from photon conversions upstream of the analysis magnet. Electron momenta were independently measured by the tracking system. The process employed resulted in an overall systematic uncertainty in the calorimeter's energy scale of less than 0.5%.
