Through two clinical cases, we wanted to illustrate the particular symptoms observed in some elderly patients hospitalized for the first time in a psychiatry ward (unit). These demonstrations mimicking psychotic disorder make psychological understanding and diagnosis hard to define. The matter of updating a former trauma, brutally inducing symptoms and suffering, appealed to us as a reactivation of horrors from the past, when the subject is once more haphazardly faced with the fate of trauma.
