State-to-state cross-sections have been calculated for various channels of the N 2+ (X,ν'=1,2)+Ar and Ar + ( 2 P j,mj )+N 2 (X,ν=0) reactions, in the collision energy range from 0.010 to 5eV, by using the Landau-Zener-Stuckelberg formalism and new potential energy surfaces recently evaluated [J. Chem. Phys. 115 (2001) 8888]. Calculations are in good agreement with available experimental results and confirm the strong state-selective chemistry occurring in the ArN 2+ system.
