Water is a political, economic and social commodity, which in today's environment must be supplied in sufficient quantities and at reasonable rates to meet the public's demands. This paper discusses a very important trend in resolving this water supply dilemma and how this type of business is carried out in the Caribbean, realizing, however, that what we call the Caribbean way of doing business is definitely, over the past 10 years, also the way business is carried out in other parts of the world.
