Fe–Mo–P–C–B–Si bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) with high glass-forming ability (GFA), good mechanical properties and high saturation magnetization were synthesized by copper mold casting. The critical diameter for glass formation of the Fe–Mo–P–C–B–Si alloys was up to 5mm. The Fe-based BMGs exhibited high compressive fracture strength of 3110–3280MPa, plastic strain up to 5.7% prior to final failure and high saturation magnetization reaching 1.34 T. The ductile Fe–Mo–P–C–B–Si BMGs with high GFA and high saturation magnetization are promising for applications as structural and functional materials.
