John W. Payne is the Joseph J. Ruvane, Jr., Professor of Business, Fuqua School of Business, Duke University; he is also Director of the Centre for Decision Studies, Professor of Psychology, and Research Professor of Statistics and Decision Sciences, Duke University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of California Irvine in 1973 and has held positions at the University of Chicago and Carnegie Mellon University. His major research interest is decision behavior, and he has edited (with John S. Carroll) Cognition and Social Behavior. James R. Bettman is Professor of Psychology and the Burlington Industries Professor of Business Administration, Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He obtained his Ph.D in Administrative Sciences at Yale University in 1969. His major research interests are consumer behavior and decision making, and he is the author of An Information Processing Theory of Consumer Choice. He has received the Harold Maynard Award of the American Marketing Association for significant contributions to marketing theory and thought, Eric J. Johnson is the Joseph Wharton Term Associate Professor of Marketing and Decision Science, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in 1980. His major research interests are decision processes and decision and choice behavior. He is the author (with John S. Carroll) of Decision Research: A Field Guide.Andre Kushniruk is associated with the Department of Psychology and the Centre for Medical Education at McGill University and is also a part-time lecturer in Computer Science at Bishop's University. His major research interests are decision support and medical decision making.
