The homogeneity of flow during equal-channel angular pressing was evaluated in pure aluminum using a round corner die with ψ=20 o and a sharp corner die with ψ=0 o . Detailed microhardness measurements show both dies produce essentially identical results. It is concluded that the use of a round corner die with ψ=20 o produces no significant hardness inhomogeneity.
