With the increasing of wind power installation, wind power curtailments occurred frequently because of its fluctuations. To reduce the curtailment of wind power, an Optimal Scheduling System for coordinated hydro and wind power generation was presented. The functional framework and structure was described based on the function demand, and the platform infrastructure was designed. The relevant key technics were deployed systemically, such as model of wind power and hydropower generators, forecasting of wind power, particle swarm optimal scheduling, etc. The optimal scheduling platform was developed, and visualization was realized. On the platform, the factors that will impact the optimal scheduling, such as wind, electricity price, water reserve, could be analyzed.
