An SAS macro which implements a more general version of the Mantel-Byar method is presented. Patients are assumed to potentially change between any number of states any number of times until censored or reaching a pre-defined endpoint. The macro employs methodology which generalizes that of the well-known logrank test to assess the association between state and endpoint.
