A new non-catalytic technology for control of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and NO x emissions from stationary and mobile sources is emerging, called corona discharge. Previous studies on the destruction of VOCs by corona discharge have shown high destruction efficiency and low energy requirements. In view of the low energy requirements at low VOCs concentrations, the feasibility of this technology for NO x treatment was investigated.
