The nonthermal radiations of BLO 0716 +71 from radio and gamma-ray are consistently interpreted in terms of a relativistic jet model. The jet is assumed to consist of two parts, an inner, accelerating part with a parabolic structure and an outer, constantly moving part with a conic structure. The magnetic field, electron density, maximum electron energy etc. are assumed to decrease outwards in power-law form. The radiation from radio to UV comes from synchrotron radiation of the relativistic electrons and the X-ray and gamma-ray come from inverse Compton scattering. It is shown that the proposed model can well fit the ''high state'' of 0716+71. Compared to Maraschi et al.'s model for 3C 279, our model for 0716+71 requires a lower magnetic field (2 G) and a higher electron energy cutoff (γ = 2.5 x 10 4 ).
