For most patients walking reappears during the first year following the vascular event: between 3 and 6 months in 73% of the cases, between 6 and 12 months in 10% of the cases. After the first year, 7% of patients cannot walk, without any hope of further reappearance. However, in certain cases, after the 13th month, the degradation and the increases even obtained much later by a program of rehabilitation limited in time can justify periods of maintenance rehabilitation.
