Many national and international organizations are engaged in their own separate efforts to document the project-management body of knowledge (pmbok). The resulting pmbok documents hardly resemble each other in some cases, casting a degree of doubt on the very existence of a common pmbok. The objective of the paper is to facilitate recognition of one common pmbok with multiple interpretations by identifying certain attributes of pmbok documents in general, and then comparing six specific pmbok documents in the light of these attributes.
