The differences of the dynamic processes of the 2223 phase formation by multi-step method (MSM) and direct synthesizing method (DSM) are discussed in the paper. It reveals that the formation of the 2223 phase crystal nucleus is very easy by the multi-step method, which differs greatly from the direct synthesizing method. The formation of the 2223 phase is a diffusion-controlled process in a multi-step method. By the multi-step method together with adding a nucleator, regrinding and resintering, the formation of the 2223 phase is obviously accelerated. The acceleration mechanism is also discussed.
