We review the conventional and fuzzy gain scheduling techniques developed so far, and highlight their advantages and problems. The neural network gain scheduling and neuro-fuzzy gain scheduling schemes are then developed. A simulation study is conducted to reveal the new features and the performance improvement of the neuro-fuzzy gain scheduling over other gain scheduling methods.
